Apprentice jockey Polly Brewster produces a masterclass in race-riding, settling the five-year-old mare mid-field before unleashing a devastating finishing burst that swept past the leaders and sealed victory by 1¾ lengths!

This was extra special - trainer Wayne Brown FINALLY gets his first local winner at start number 23, and he does it in THE CUP on our historic 100-year celebration day! The emotion, the joy, the pure magic of country racing all came together in this unforgettable moment! 💯🏇

Front-running brilliance from Horsun! The six-year-old gelding led every step of the way to claim a deserved victory!

Jockey Anna Jordsjo produced a perfectly-judged ride, establishing position early before kicking clear at the 600m mark. Horsun showed great courage to hold off all challengers, scoring by a neck from High School Concert with Lord Morton running on honestly for third.

The win gave trainer Simon Druitt his second success of the day - and this homebred loves the Ceduna dirt just like his mum did on country tracks!

The Kids Fashion Parade brought smiles, style, and incredible confidence to Ceduna's centenary celebration. Young fashionistas took to the runway to compete for $50 prizes in the Boys and Girls categories, sponsored by MGA Insurance Group.

Best Dressed Boy Nicholas won hearts (and the prize!) with his dapper outfit, holding his hat down in the breezy conditions like a seasoned race-goer. The judges noted he's already showing the style credentials of a future heartthrob - watch out, racing world!

Best Dressed Girl impressed the judges with her coordinated ensemble featuring a white handbag, big black boots perfect for "stomping around" the track, and the cutest detail - a little bow on her sunglasses. The attention to detail and accessories showed she already understands what makes a winning race day look!

The judges evaluated the kids on their coordinated outfits, accessories (handbags, shoes, headwear), and most importantly - those beautiful, confident smiles. Every child who stepped onto that stage demonstrated remarkable courage and deserved the applause they received.

As one judge noted, getting up on stage takes "a great deal of confidence" - and these young ones delivered! The future of race day fashion is in very capable (and very stylish) hands.
